The site contains information on the two astronomical facilities of the Perugia University Astronomical Observatory: the robotic telescope of the Perugia astronomical station, and the IRAIT telescope at the Coloti (Montone) astronomical station. This site contains also information on the local research and collaborations, expecially in telescope automation, IRAIT Antarctic Infrared Telescope, blazar optical monitoring, late stages of stellar evolution and nucleosynthesis, GLAST gamma-ray NASA satellite and the REM telescope. Collaborators and research people refer to the Physics Department of the Perugia University. This is a server located in the Physics Department.

 - Si è spento il 1 Marzo 2009, a Foligno (PG), all' età di 83 anni, il Professor Emerito Paolo Maffei. 
I funerali alla presenza delle locali autorità, dei colleghi, degli astrofili e di tutta la cittadinanza si sono svolti martedì 3 Marzo nella cattedrale di San Feliciano, a Foligno.
